So here I am. I'm not an expert, but I do love the gospel of Jesus Christ. This blog is more for me to express what I am thinking. If you are reading this, welcome. I have been feeling a prompting to blog my thoughts and study. I don't know why, but I couldn't shake it.
If no one reads this that is ok, because like I mentioned before it is about putting my thoughts down where I can retrieve them. I have a wife and 4 kids, I have a social media and leadership blog at: http://www.AllanDubon.com as well as a podcast.
I think I was feeling inclined to start this blog because blogging is something that comes natural to me. I have tried journaling, but I am not that dedicated. Blogging is a lot like journaling, but there is something that makes it a lot easier for me. I haven't decided the frequency of posts for this blog, but my goal is to have it help me study the word of God daily.
I want to return to that feeling of not just intellectually knowing the gospel, but feeling its power every day. I find the closer I draw to my Father in Heaven the happier I am and the better my family life becomes. I currently teach Gospel Doctrine, and may outline my lesson here as I prepare. Not sure exactly the direction I will be taking.
If you have anything you would like me to discuss please leave me a comment and I will answer in the post. I can only share those things that I have experienced and I tend to teach via examples in my life.
This past Sunday I taught on the Plan of Salvation! How I love that topic. I have spent hours studying the Plan of Salvation and I learn so much everytime I get the opportunity to teach it. I feel so edified by the spirit when I teach. I feel like there is so much good in the word that stays silent. I have made a decision to no longer remain silent in sharing my thoughts about the gospel.
